Ryan Zaporzan

Corporate Controller at Richardson International

I am a Chartered Professional Accountant who is employed with Richardson International Limited as a Corporate Controller. In my role, I am responsible for the oversight of the payables function for the crop inputs division and providing guidance to the supervisor trainees who oversee other areas of the payables function for the business.

In 2018, I completed the Common Final Examination of the Professional Education Program for the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada and I completed my practical experience requirements for the program in early 2019. In March 2019, I was invited to join the profession and officially achieved the CPA designation.

In 2011, I graduated from the Asper School of Business with a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Human Resources/Industrial Relations Management and Small Business/Entrepreneurship. During my time at Asper, I furthered my knowledge in these fields by participating in various organizations within the commerce faculty.

In my previous two roles, before becoming an accountant and joining Richardson, I specialized in compensation and salary analysis in Manitoba and across Canada. I was employed with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority as a Compensation Consultant and was responsible for reviewing and analyzing salary and job classifications as well as developing job classification structures for the organization. Before this role, I was employed with People First HR Services as a Compensation Analyst.
